I’m almost positive that a couple years back Tuukka lost his skate blade mid play and nothing happened
Chicago did their job against Edmonton and now they’re getting pounded by Vegas. Everything is proceeding as planned.
Hot take: not entirely opposed to it. Hockey purists (read: those who hate progress) will never want it but watching that game...after it got to like half of double OT it was just bad hockey. Also, if you're pro-player, it's like fucking torture to keep going like that. Like, it's a health issue. These stories of dudes getting IV saline between OT periods are horrific. Put another way, lmk the next time your employer makes you work more than double your time consecutively purely for the sake of your customers, and the nature of your job puts you at serious risk of injury. Oh and you don't do it for any extra pay.
Would have been better to get bounced in the first round but Hawks media would have spun a way win which that was a positive too, despite the fact our defense and bottom 6 forwards all suck
Is your alternative going to a shootout after 1 OT? Or a different time limit? I’ve seen some people say that 2nd OT should be 4 on 4, 3rd OT should be 3 on 3 and by then you likely wouldn’t get any farther. That could be interesting. the fact that there’s only been like 15 games that have gone to 4 OT or beyond tells me that nothing has to change because these are so few and far between. People complain when football ends in one OT where the other team never got to possess the ball, so there’s always going to be people that complain no matter what the strategy is. But I would not want to see a playoff game decided by a shootout.
What the hell? That's 2 years in a row a hand pass results in a goal and they miss overturning it... holy shit shorty!!!!!
