That’s if all players are there. If a team loses a top player because that players doesn’t want to play then it becomes an asterisk.
I buy it to a certain extent. It’s quite easy for a shitty team to get hot. See: those Sabres regular season runs, the 2017 Senators in the ECF. I can definitely see a team that should not be there in ordinary circumstances making some run to the conference finals. Ultimately though if you are able to win the cup, you’ve likely deserved it.
This Cup is only gonna have an asterisk if Chicago or Montreal win it. And in the case of the latter, ideally, instead of an asterisk, they just refuse to award it and retroactively cancel the playoffs.
Ya I get that from the Carolina perspective. There's some chatter that teams who were already in a playoff position should start with an automatic 1-0 series lead. Which just further shows this whole thing is a gong show.
Breaking news: the most racist professional sports league continues to be racist. Up next: sky still blue, water still wet.
Racist Italians? Colour me shocked. I grew up with a dad saying similar bullshit like this, but my sister and I would always speak up against his semi racist bullshit.
I don't think the Bruins have said anything yet as an org, not like that's shocking. Not sure about the players themselves.
It's really bad in parts in and around Philly, North Jersey, Staten island, and parts of central and eastern long island. I went to HS with guys like this, shitty guys with shittier families. Fucking scumbags.
I wish that shitheads like DeAngelo and Lemieux weren’t the norm when it came to hockey players. Spoiled rich kids.
At least they won't get a podcast to voice their views on our overly PC culture (that hockey fans no doubt will love) Rangers Roundup: Tony DeAngelo makes podcast official and Henrik Lundqvist wants to play beyond this contract - Forever Blueshirts: A site for New York Rangers fanatics
