Best case scenario if they don't cancel the NHL is that they implement a second trade deadline and Jumbo can come on over and be our 4C
That hasn't really been a problem for European countries with plans on reopening their sports leagues, though. Son Heung-min, for example, underwent mandatory military training in South Korea (like Nico Hischer is now for Switzerland) and is back in London training and awaiting the Premiere League's reopening. It's all so stupid though because as much as I miss professional sports, and as happy as I am to be able to watch Bundesliga again, sports should only be phased in slowly when it's safe to do so. And right now it's not worth the risk. Texas had 1,800 new cases yesterday. Florida's a dumb idiot wasteland where the entire state is bound to be hooked to a ventilator at some point, and the U.S. in general for the last four years has basically been the world's Florida. Every pitch to reopen right now seems like an incredibly greedy risk from owners, and it's just not worth it in the grand scheme of things. Shut the season down.
Have to say Hawks are wholly undeserving of this, but getting the opportunity to knock Edmonton out would be fun.
I would absolutely 100% love to see some bottom tier teams upset the good ones. Luckily the Ducks were so bad this year they don't even get to participate.
Yet another entry in my long-standing series, Hockey Fans Are Stupid As Pig Shit: In an HFBoards poll (because of course it'd be HFBoards) asking if people would wear masks outside, almost 60% of these dirtbrained fuckmouths voted no: Mask or no mask
