Saw people saying that Kase is just okay and always hurt so looked him up. Yep, he hasn't played more than 66 games in any of his 4 season and the other 2 seasons were quite a bit less than that... Iffy trade all the way around if you are Boston.
This is the read I’m getting from people I trust on my TL as well, so that eases my concerns, but I’m def not happy with giving up a first and still not getting rid of Backes’ full cap hit
he definitely is a bit injury prone so he will need to stay healthy not a rental either as he is signed through next year and then is still RFA
I just realized that Boston and Tampa will likely have to play each other round 2 and that fucking stinks
Kase is a solid, skill player @cherrywaves A 7th round pick find by us that nets a 1st round pick (granted it will be high 20s). he’s had a few head injuries, and a shoulder injury. He plays low to the ice, BOS obviously has the guts to protect him. He’ll need to be used on a skill/scoring line. No sense using him in a checking role
my English teacher just used Danny Heatly as an example for rhetoric and of course I was the one that had to tell everyone who he is and what he did.
That’s fine with me. I would like them to trade for defensive depth though. However: Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta Debrusk-Krejci-Kase Bjork-Coyle-Heinen ...is a very good top 9
Yeah, Gus benefited a ton from the Hawks power play and getting a lot of minutes behind Strome/DeBrincat/Shitbox. Thought the Hawks would sell high on him but he's the type of d-man GMs & coaches hate because he plays with basically no regard for positioning or situational awareness. Still, anyone who is desperate for power play help might fork over a second round pick or something. I'm really interested to see how much he makes in free agency.
