That picture of Marchand and W is the definition of a cursed image. I'm not sullying this place by posting it so you're welcome.
Other than the Lucic/Neal trade, what choice did they make that falls under that umbrella? The team is mostly the same. Rieder and Talbot are the only other new players, and they didn't lose anyone of note.
Ducks were sloppy but they also didn’t dump and chase all night so this will automatically be a good season.
Canes looked good last night, apart from a really sloppy second period where they kind of lost focus. All of the new guys looked good. Dzingel looked particularly lively, hitting a couple of posts. Necas looked like a man possessed out there. Brock McGinn is not a top 6 winger.
I’m fine with them experimenting with line combos, and I think there’s plenty of arguments on how we can mix and match. Personally I think I would lean towards: Nino - Aho - Necas Svech - Staal - TT Dzingel - Haula - McGinn Foegele - Wallmark - Martinook and if they didn’t like Necas slotted up that high we could roll: Nino - Aho - Svech Dzingel - Staal - TT Martinook - Haula - Necas Foegele - Wallmark - McGinn I could also see a situation where Necas locks down top 6 minutes and they go back and forth between Dzingel and Nino in the top 6 depending on who has the hot hand.
