5-2 is not a scheme

It’s a pressure formation that exists in both 4-3 and 3-4 schemes in different forms.

Power spread is a good choice but eh. I like Air Coryell better. I prefer to run to set up the pass rather than passing to set up the run

 

I like offenses that run an hb dive every play like i do in madden

 

I can’t think of Utz products without immediately thinking of Mad Men and then Mulholland Drive.

You just have to build the right team. The Jags actually had that team before Telvin retired. Fast DEs capable of being 3-4 LBs, strong nose tackle, run stopping DTs.

Full disclosure I've only had the lager

 

Just because DEs are fast doesn’t mean they can set the edge as easily as LB can. They have to fight through blockers to get to the edge. The whole point of a stretch run is to seal the edge so a DE can’t do that.

It doesn’t work like that in madden but it does IRL. The MIKE has to hit the B gap while the SAM sets the edge in order to reliably stop that play. A 5-2 formation doesn’t spread out your LB enough. Even if one of the LB sets the edge, he ends up vacating the middle, as the RB could easily make an inside cut and get back inside the B gap
