Either way, I think the Eagles absolutely need to find a way to get it done.

 

They need all their high picks if they need to trade up for a QB. Making a move like that and then still just being a 7-9 team would make this already worst case scenario season even worse

 

Maybe the Clowney trade won't happen till after this week of preseason

I'm not gonna get my hopes up, Howie hasn't shown interest it seems. Eagles would be super foolish not to do it.

On raw stats, starting experience and playoff experience I find it pretty easy to make the argument Foles is 2x better. He’s just had more years and good experiences and has been mostly very efficient. And that’s not even necessarily Brissett’s fault. But if he’s to be on at least a Foles level he still needs more time.

 

now put Brissett on that stacked Eagles squad and see what his numbers would have been

that 2017 Colts team was heinous

 

Idk if brisett is gonna suddenly be really good but he's definitely not as bad as he was with when he started on that team.

 

Trade Agholor and a 2nd for Clowney, play him at DE, and let’s call it a day

Nor should you. I dont think you can even argue hes a significant upgrade over Marlon Mack...certainly not at the contract he's going to command when Mack is dirt cheap for two more seasons.

 

Everyone blames the team but Brissett also holds the ball way too long and throws too many low percentage passes. Foles is the opposite and is great at getting rid of the ball quick and taking advantage of what the defense gives him

god this Clowney stuff just makes me angry
