I guess we’ll see. My general opinion about AFC South QBs is that Watson is the only good one, and Brissett, Foles, and Tannyota are going to all be roughly the same below average but fine level of QB

Foles is good IF AND ONLY IF he is in the perfect situation. Talking good coaching, a good OLine, and plenty of weapons

Does he have any of those things in Jacksonville?

 

Like I know I’m going to be let down by the return on the clowney trade, but some of the names I’ve seen him being traded for seem pointless

I don’t remember the exact numbers but it’s 10-15M this year and about half that next year as dead cap

personally I would just wait until Clowney is a free agent next March and sign him considering he can't be signed longterm until after the season anyways

I was playing madden the other day and I saw the other team use BOBs ol scheme, it was pretty cool.

 

Foles is probably the best qb marrone has ever had, not that that means much of anything.

 

Really what we needed was to not completely disrespect Clowney for inconsequential amounts on his tag just to spend the extra cap space on absolutely nothing but I'm no Texans GM and neither is anyone else apparently

 

Replace Clowney with Duane Brown, and tag with guarantees, in the above post and we're even better

 

Sources tell me jadeveon clowney will be traded soon or maybe at some point idk

Maybe but Duane Brown doesn't wanna play for Houston obviously so I wasn't suggesting that as a trade, just that botching the Duane Brown situation started this mess

 

They need him just as much as you need him, which is wild

 

This is kinda exactly my argument. Foles is better than Brissett but he's not 10 times better. So why pay him 10x when you can use that money on other pieces and still win a very getable division.

 

Hes got the same QB coach he had success with. The line is good if healthy. The weapons arent as bad people think. We dont have an Ertz or Jeffrey but we have a lot of Agholors.

This is very fair. Exactly my response to the Jags situation around Foles. I like what Foles has done in his career and I like his early-anticipation style of play. He can be really accurate when he’s locked into the timing of his playbook and having experience with DeFillipo helps.

However, I find myself questioning if a fresh-off-injury Cam Robinson can keep him upright and if our merry go round of upside WR3s can avoid just being trash this year
