Well I hope Brissett is the dude, and if he’s not, then they’re in as good of a position as any to take advantage of a QB on a rookie scale contract with the young core they have right now

 

Yeah, if Im the Colts im in full-on suck mode. Hilton/Ebron/Doyle/Castonzo all go on the block...and I build my team entirely around my young central O-line and recent draft picks that have hit. Draft a QB high in 2020 and start anew.

 

They have so much cap space already. I’d imagine that number is even bigger with Luck gone. Unless they get some really high picks back, I don’t think there’s much use in going in full sell mode.

Castonzo is on his contract year, as is Doyle/Ebron. Hilton has an extra year, but he could bring a decent haul I imagine. Hilton/Castonzo arent really part of the future...nor is Doyle I imagine.

With Luck gone you have $100mil in cap space with the rollover from this year. That sets you up to do a Browns-like rebuild fast, but part of that is getting rid of anyone older than like 27.
