There's also a decent chance he just didnt really want to play and didnt rehab it right. But he's like the anti-Peterson in terms of recovery. 2015 he got hurt and didnt bounce back. Lost a whole year on the shoulder surgery. Might have been looking at a whole season hobbled knowing he doesnt recover fast.

 

I just feel like I've heard various reports about his mental state and it fucking with him a TON. Taking a physical beating is one thing, but that mental anguish might of been what did it from the looks of it. Im sure we will learn a ton more.

Luck's had a "calf strain" since like April that went into preseason, their doctors couldn't even diagnose what was up with him, guy shouldn't be blamed at all for leaving the game

 

Preseason is too important to cancel, it just needs to be modified. Make it only two games and only allow on-the-bubble players.

Nagy did a simulated preseason game before last week. 60 snaps. Against your own team you can at least actually run your real offense and the exact scenarios you want to play through.

 

They should just leave it up to teams. Want to play no preseason gams and instead do combined practices? Cool. Want to play 4 preseason games? Cool. NFL should only care about teams showing up Week 1...and if you want to work out the broadcasting kinks, then the networks can go and fake broadcast the team practices.
