Yeah that was not on purpose lol

I haven’t seen the play in forever but I don’t think a punter has ever gotten in that weird low stance before to try and tackle someone (by waiting for the player to run into him? Idk what the punter was thinking) and AB clearly thought he could jump 10+ feet in the air and make a great play.

The mania of a play, especially a punt return with players zipping past you and coming up behind you I don’t think AB was like, “yeah let’s get this guy in the face”

 

I love that dying his mustache blonde is an”incident” on this list lol

 

It's one of the worst ones tbh

 

I didn’t mean to imply that I think he purposefully thought “I’m going to jump kick this dude” or something. I think he intended to just hurdle him but I do think he purposefully didn’t try to avoid cleating him in the face.

Either way, the point of the list was all the other shit, haha

 

I see what you mean. I don’t think his intent at all was to cleat the dude in the face, but when he was in midair I think it became the best option for the play/his leg to do it lol

 

Right, that’s a much better way of wording it. It’s not the worst thing in the world but I just never really found it funny I guess

 

having the incidents in list form like that does also point out that pretty much everything started going downhill in January 2017. the punter thing was in 2014, so he was basically a model player / citizen until January 2017.

 

Also I’m done hearing that Tomlin “doesn’t have control over that locker room” thing. If you think he’s a shitty coach, that’s fine I don’t care. But it’s possible this has been going on for minute. Who knows how long they’ve been keeping this stuff on the down low.

 

I find the whole punter getting stepped on thing hilarious

The guy has a helmet, I guarantee you that’s not high on the spectrum of painful things happening in a football game. It was more embarrassing for him than anything. If you watch the play it was purely coincidental Looney Tunes type humor. Next time dont try to tackle somebody at knee level and you won’t get accidentally stepped on?

I laughed at that the same way Titsns fans probably laughed at Bouye getting run over by Henry

 

Lol it was really funny

 

If someone got hurt it wouldn’t have been funny but since everyone came out alright it’s funny.

 

Just watched the clip and the best part is the commentating

“And now Brown is off to the races! Hurdles! Kicks a man! And a flag is thrown”

 

I’m not a fan of AB anymore obviously. But some of these “incidents” are nitpicking.

The low points are low though.

Cowboys game was boring as hell. I actually fell asleep in the 4th quarter.

 

49ers ended up with 18 penalties but that’s only what was accepted and doesn’t count when two are called on the same play. There must have been nearly 25 because I remember declining two in particular and two other plays where we accepted the worse penalty. And I missed 1/4 of the game, hahaha
