Nick Foles would've had a much harder defense to play. Plus Pederson called a perfect game partly because BB was his opponent. The Jags werent the product of coaching but of talent.

 

Todd Wash clearly isn’t a DC. When we aren’t getting an absurd amount of pressure he has no idea what fucking coverage to call to stop any alpha playmakers. It felt like every team’s best weapon this past season got 100+ yards against us.

He is a front 7 / DL coach that needs someone else to call coverage, hence us grabbing Capers who sucks at everything else *except* DBs

Marrone clearly isn’t an OC, he just knows how to coach the trenches. Hence why we were dead reliant on Nate Hackett’s shitty 3.5 YPC on 40 attempts rushing attack, and a passing “attack” that mostly goes horizontal & relies on YAC.

We were not ready to adapt to our team having important players get hurt, and we were not ready to gameplan against a tougher strength of schedule. Our coaches are bad and this season smacked them and exposed them.

 

Or whatever. We suck again so who cares

I’m giving DeFillipo and Capers a year. The one thing I like is we paired Marrone with a legit QB coach and Wash with a legit DB coach.

None of DeFillipo, Capers, Marrone or Wash are gonna be solely responsible for the offense or defense. They are obviously delegating the tasks they aren’t good at.

Yes DeFillipo and Capers were bad at higher up positions but they are now back doing what they specialize in. So that Marrone & Wash can focus on what they specialize in, OL and DL.
