Okay, Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara in 2017 and 2018. That better?

They are not paying Bell top two RB money for play that is just “fine” lol

If hes just fine then they broke the bank for "just fine". How doesnt that hurt your argument? If they get production out of bell they couldve gotten for cheaper then it's a bad look

I have no positive or negative expectations for Bell. Although Gase never had a good running game going in Miami

...Kamara drafted in the mid rounds and when it came time to pay Ingram the Saints...didn't lol.

I love when he defeats himself hahaha

They did give him his first extension actually. They didn’t give him a second extension. This whole argument is about the first extension and I have repeatedly specified that

Incorrect. You love to jump to that conclusion when actually you just misrepresented my argument

Oh that’s what you meant by “fine”. I thought you meant “fine” as in, back to normal. Which, his normal IS top two RB production

You show me when Mark Ingram was getting paid like a top 5 RB...At his highest, he was a cap hit of $5 million. Not fucking $14 haha

I didnt though. Saints re-signed Ingram in 2014, I know that. He didnt have a great season until Kamara came around. They didnt need to re-sign Ingram in the first place.

But also, what Dave said haha. Completely different.

He wasn’t even being used like a workhorse when got that extension too, right?

And even when they did re-sign him it was a moderate raise. Not break the bank money.

Perhaps. Bell hasnt played since Kamara, CMC, and Conner have arrived.

He got paid relative to his talent. (Plus, account for inflation because player salaries have gone up like more than 30% since Ingram’s first extension.)

Kamara should absolutely get $14 mill per year from the Saints. Without question. He’s a weapon that teams legit don’t know how to stop.

Speaking of all the RBs, what is Eddie Lacy up to these days?

For context: Ingram made like $200k more than Rookie Zeke Elliott.

    The rivalry is back on

Neither MJD nor Foster signed a second extension. Maybe one is a second extension and I missed that, but these should all be first extensions and relevant

“He got paid relative to his talent.”

If only this relative to talent argument applied to quarterbacks

I just am probably not gonna budge haha. I think everyone is overdoing it with the whole “it’s 2019 RBs don’t matter anymore”. It’s true to a minor extent that the proliferation of passing teams has reduced the need for a RB... but not nearly to the extent that most people seem to suggest.

As far as not wanting to pay them because of injuries thing... they already DO get paid less because of their injury risk. $14 million is like the lowest any offensive *star* in the NFL would get paid. Good TE are likely to get that much in a year or two. Good WRs make way more. Good OT’s even make more.
