Hockey shootouts and college football overtimes are both so fun wtf haha

 

Plus playing countless overtime would be awful for players in the NFL.

 

Which thankfully wouldn't happen that much. I don't even know why I'm arguing. The Jags can't score in the red zone either so this changes nothing for me.

I'd rather be fun and not good than good and not fun. See: CarpetElf is good and not fun.

 

This is actually something you hardly ever see brought up with regards to overtime and those who are pro-CFB OT rules. The NFL players certainly don't want to potentially play MORE football

 

As one might assume from a fan of the Lightning, I disagree.

 

A regular overtime period has the potential to be an entire extra quarter though so it's not like the current rules don't have potential to be even worse.

 

Imagine playing six overtimes on a Sunday than have to play a game on a Thursday night on short rest.

 

IMO the NFL is good (in quality) and not that fun

 

Imagine thinking six overtimes are extremely common

 

That's also not taking into account that college defenses aren't even in the same league (literally) as NFL defenses. The best defense in college football would still be, at best 30th in the NFL. At the absolute best.

I don’t mind ties. Ties are fine if a finite OT system doesn’t decide a win or a loss

Like last year when the Pats beat the Chiefs and people started complaining about the rules because the Pats won. If the Chiefs won, would have it really have been a issue ? At least that's the impression I got.

The Chiefs 100% blew that game which is why all the outcry about overtime rules was so pathetic.
