College football is dumb in general imo.

That's cool and all, but watching six overtimes is something that's a bit much for me.

 

The NFL overtime rules are great because they seemingly always work out for the Patriots and I'm fine with that.

I like everyone having a chance haha. Overtime in the NFL is just winning a coin flip or playing against a shitty offense.

I’ve read analysis that regardless of coin flip that OT is nearly 50/50 either team, just barely favoring the team who gets the ball first.

Any system that significantly changes the sport’s rules to break ties (college football OT, hockey shootout, etc) is not a rule I enjoy. NFL’s rules aren’t perfect, but at least it’s not turning the entire rest of the game into red zone football
