It's because it's nuts that people keep moving the goalposts on what he needs to do to "prove to them" that he's good.

"Can't win without Zeke" - Has a winning record without Zeke.

"Only wins because the line is elite" - Has a winning record with an average at best line.

"Can't win under pressure" - Has the 2nd most wins of anyone since he was drafted, has the most 4th quarter comeback wins since he was drafted, and was instrumental in a playoff win against one of the better coaches/teams in the league

If the man has to win a Super Bowl for people to think he's good (even then I'm sure people have excuses cocked and loaded in their holsters) then that's a ridiculous and unfairly high bar that it's just outrageous.

"Jared Goff has been in the league less time than Dak" - he hasn't

"Jared Goff has been more effective when throwing in high volume" - he hasn't

"Dak Prescott has a comparable supporting cast to the Chiefs and Rams" - he doesn't

I could have seen Dak winning the Super Bowl with the 2017 Jaguars.

Yes he has. I just went through the game logs. Generally Goff threw more attempts and had more excellent games with that volume

Not quite but it’s closer than you think. And also it’s mot like they have the same stats. Goff and Mahomes put up much better numbers so it does reflect the difference in team talent.

I’ll be honest I was a dak doubter and definitely felt zeke was the alpha in the offense. But when dak needs to, he can ball out. Sure his numbers aren’t the best, but he just does what he needs to win, usually with a clutch play or two.

At the very least can we quit framing the Rams and Chiefs together as if Mahomes and Goff are in the same tier

They were from the same draft.
You said Goff was more effective when throwing 50+ times. That is false.

    It is 1000 percent not.

He's incredibly clutch. Hell, he plays better under pressure than he does otherwise. I trust him more than Zeke in late game situations.

Goff was definitively more effective throwing high volume across the season. 50 attempts was a misleading way for me to state my point since Goff still did several more efficient 350+ yard games

Weapons were at least average aside from that short limbo between Dez and Amari. Witten wasn’t bad when he retired and Dez had just declined from his last injury. Cooper is good.

The line is very good, as talented as the Rams / better than the Chiefs, and just had a bad stretch this season which happens.

Elliott is better than anything the Chiefs have in the backfield and has been very comparable if not even a little more consistent than Gurley.

This year despite the Cowboys transitional slump on offense they had a better defense than KC or LAR as well.

My take away is I don't get why people kind of need to be a dick toward Randall for making a well thought out point or opinion.

    1. The "short limbo" between Dez and Amari was technically 7 games, but if you look at the quality of Dez and his career, he wasn't really a good/great #1 receiver since 2014. His injury in 2015 messed up his entire game and he never recovered, 2017 being easily his worst year of his career. It was so bad that he struggled to even find a team in 2018. So that "short limbo" really should be viewed as "Dak hasn't had a true #1 quality receiver until Amari was brought onto the team" or if you want to be nice to Dez, then it's "since 2016" or so.

    2. You keep repeating that the line is good. They were great at run blocking, but were horrendous at pass blocking. Frederick was out the entire year. Looney played well as a backup, but he was a backup regardless and just did "okay" at the most influential spot on the line. Smith and Martin are both elite talents, but both missed multiple games and/or played injured over half the year. The other positions had either backup quality players playing or the disappointing Collins playing. I get that there are other teams who have it worst, but this line was not good at protecting Dak, even with him holding the ball too much, and saying that they were good is flat out incorrect.

    3. I agree that Elliott is better than what the Chiefs have, but their running game is nothing to sneeze at and would agree on your part about Gurley.

    4. Agreed, our defense was the best of those three.

What we need to do is put together some kind of "one vote only" ranking list thing where we can each go and rank the quarterbacks 1-20 or so and then it combines them and does some kind of average rankings and put together an official chorus.fm QB ranking list.
