    Nope. Supporter

I don't think John Elway is overrated lol I think everyone outside of Colorado thinks he's very average/below average

Even this is fine hahaha. Just post SOMETHING let's get that NFL discussion going

That's fair. I just don't like taking a 90s quarterback with a career QB rating below 80 and calling him one of the best of all time haha. He had very impressive, swagger-y moments but generally the dude was an inconsistent gunslinger. Roger Staubach was literally more efficient in the 1970s.

I think Terry Bradshaw is overrated too. Those several rings on his fingers, he owes them to Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, and the "Steel Curtain" defense. He had so many fuckin turnovers and bad passes, even compared to other great QBs of his era.

  5. Bradshaw was a big game qb. Stats were underwhelming overall but he showed up when it mattered.

You remember when he was the dad in Failure to Launch and the garage was his "naked room"

    CRINGE

Totally agreed on this and I’ll add that, in my opinion, if a QB wins 2 or more rings, it can’t be possible for him to be considered bad or overrated. It’s hard as hell to win a ring, even with an elite team around you.

my favorite thing to argue with casual fans is that Joe Namath was an actual bad QB

Well, there's "elite" on a year-by-year basis... and then there's "elite" on an all-time basis.

The 70s Steelers were "all-time elite". Kinda like the 2000 Ravens defense - we don't give Trent Dilfer any credit for being a Superbowl QB nor do we give Tony Banks credit for their playoff years before that.

  11. That was one boring as fuck super bowl

They didn’t win 4 times though. The Steelers did.

they were that good for that long. *shrug*

wasn't like the Patriots or 49ers who won their Superbowls on the back of the most efficient QB in the league. Cowboys had Aikman / Staubach who were better than Elway / Bradshaw. Packers had Rodgers / Favre / Starr. etc

    Another example: '85 Bears.

I don't even know who the fuck their QB WAS at the time. That was another "team" Superbowl that isn't really accurate to give most the credit to the QB

Dolphins went 16-0 in 1972, 3-0 in playoffs (19-0 total)
They won the first game in 1973 then lost to Oakland week 2. Then went on to win another 10 games in a row. Ended the 1973 season 12-2 and then went 3-0 in the playoffs again to win the Super Bowl again

34-2 and 2 Super Bowls over 2 years is the best stretch ever don't @ me

    @Dinosaurs Dish

I know your football fandom starts and ends with the Cowboys, but I also know you're a big enough nerd to do the 32-team opinion list. Let's go. Do it. lol

I got a feeling @CarpetElf might do it when he's done napping

I can't tell! You're usually active af on this website whenever you're awake so when you disappear I assume you're asleep. Especially when you're in your room totally dead silent with the door closed.

I heard you cracking your knuckles and you usually only do that when you first wake up lol

I'm taking a break honestly but I'll probably get my feet wet in this scene before the summer is over.

I need to focus on saving money, going to programming school, and improving my actual career. Tired of being a broke ass restaurant server. That's kinda the primary goal of me moving. I'm 28 years old (29 next month) and it's time to have a real plan for my life instead of coasting on barely enough money. I don't have years to fuck around anymore... I need to be a responsible, stable adult by the time I'm 30.

I'm not "giving up" on music - I do plan to play locally, but I'll go back to doing tours and shit once I have legit money to actually promote my tours and release albums' worth of professional sounding music. Labels don't sign unknown artists and give them $300k advances anymore, the smart way to pursue music in 2019 is to fund it yourself and build your own fanbase. I can't do that unless I have the money to do it.

I do have an EP coming out though so that's pretty cool. All the recording is done, it's being mixed now. Aside from that, I just gotta work two jobs until I have money for a deposit on programming school, a down payment on a car, and another several thousand saved.
