And that's before the playoff games where Dak played very well against two really good teams/coaches.

 

I'm not discrediting his talent but I would bet money that Amari Cooper underperforms his fantasy draft slot this year

You don't blow up like that on an offense that otherwise isn't "great" at passing the ball... and not draw excessive double teams the following season.

 

If Dak underachieves with the box stacked against Zeke AND double teams on Cooper I'll say he's below average

 

Agreed. They definitely impressed me last year but I'm always more curious to see how they respond once NFL defenses adjust and start gameplanning for them

 

Like, DeAndre Hopkins, I always thought he was good but I didn't fall in love with his talent until he showed me that he can still ball even when he's blanketed by Jalen Ramsey or double teamed

I've honestly never liked a rival player this much haha. Hopkins is insane.

 

And I would totally switch my position on him if that happens and was ready to last season when that trade happened. But luckily for us, it nearly instantly turned the entire offense around and changed the course of Dak's entire career.

 

Hopkins is good but he's no Chester Rogers

 

It's painful isn't it, I hate how much I like Ramsey and Luck

 

Honestly not really. These days when we lose to the Texans I'm just like, "yep, they're really good." I wouldn't be mad to lose to Russell Wilson either.

Though I guess that doesn't always apply. I still hate Eddie George lol.

 

I just can't feel that way. I loved Kawhi Leonard and love Popovich but my hatred of the Spurs kept me from ever feeling okay losing to them.

 

I'm honestly not sold on Amari Cooper yet for the Cowboys. He's just not very consistent.

 

I don't think he's like a top 10 WR or anything like that. But I'm sold on him being good enough for the Cowboys that their passing attack isn't shit.

 

It's also the fact that the Texans are an even younger team than the Jags so I don't have the same visceral hatred that reminds me of losses I cried about as a child, as I have for the Titans and Colts lol. Plus, the Jags being an expansion team, i have respect / empathy for other young teams.

 

Fine, apparently I shit on every other team too much so i'm gonna say one nice thing about every team.

Arizona Cardinals - They had the best draft this year.
Atlanta Falcons - They should have won a Super Bowl. Maybe they can do it again? Nah.
Baltimore Ravens - Lamar Jackson gonna be a stud. Just you watch.
Buffalo Bills - Best fans in football. Bar none.
Carolina Panthers - Cam survives the year.
Chicago Bears - Playoffs, Round 2. They're gonna be good this year. Book it.
Cincinnati Bengals - John Ross breakout season baybay.
Cleveland Browns - Baker Mayfield breakout season baybay.
Dallas Cowboys - Dez Bryant caught the ball.
Denver Broncos - I still have a Tebow Broncos jersey somewhere. Not ashamed.
Detroit Lions - They're too good for Patricia.
Green Bay Packers - The Leap is a dope af TD celebration.
Houston Texans - I pray every night for Watson's knees.
Indianapolis Colts - They may be scary soon now that Luck has an offensive line who won't get him killed.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Myles Jack may or may not have been down. But they deserve a banner anyway for dragging Blake Freaking Bortles to the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs - No. Fuck them. Fuck Tyreek Hill. Mahomes rules though.
Miami Dolphins - I love the Rosen deal more than I should. Get to develop a 1st round qb for cheap. If it works great, if not, you suck and you get Lawrence. Win/win!
Minnesota Vikings - That offense could be so freaking stacked.
New England Patriots - Dynasty.
New Orleans Saints - My gf gets to meet Drew Brees soon. That'll be dope. Kamara #1 back in the league.
New York Giants - David Tyree did in fact catch it. Also Eli's throw to Manningham doesn't get enough credit in the other Bowl.
New York Jets - Leveon Bell is gonna be so good for Darnold.
Oakland Raiders - Ummmmm....Vegas will be cool?
Philadelphia Eagles - I mean, they beat the Pats. I haven't given them shit since.
Pittsburgh Steelers - I love when the Steelers/Pats play. One of the few actual rivals to the Pats dynasty.
Los Angeles Rams - I actually think Goff is good. They're gonna be real good this year.
San Diego Chargers - Powder Blues baybay!
San Francisco 49ers - Jimmy G gonna be healthy and that team's gonna sneak out a wildcard. Book it.
Seattle Seahawks - Wilson is so unbelievably good.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - They suck. Sorry, I tried. Mike Evans rules though?
Tennessee Titans - The best team when it comes to winning games they shouldn't, and losing all the others.
Washington Redskins - No. Fuck them. They get nothing.

 

Oh absolutely, I'm just not sold on him keeping up his production since he joined the Cowboys.

 

Cooper is either catching nearly everything that is thrown to him and it shows on the box score or is being double-teamed which opens up the field for the rest of the receiving corps and/or Zeke.

I wouldn't say he's inconsistent. We just use him differently depending on what the defense shows and it seems to be paying off pretty well for him and the rest of the team.

 

Like, I've seen us at the Jags' stadium losing to the Titans by literally 3 points when it's still 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter...

And then Eddie George comes out and gets fuckin exactly 3.5-4 yards every carry, falling foward after every tackle. Even though we're stacking the box and run blitzing. And he would literally eat 15 minutes of game time off the clock, converting 3rd and 3 over and over again. So we don't touch the ball until the end of the fourth quarter and lose

That's happened TWICE at games that I've attended. There is nothing more fucking demoralizing than that lol. I can't help it I HATE the Titans. Probably 50% of the worst Jags losses have come at the hands of them.

 

Does anyone know a good site with stats on drops? I'm sure Cooper's had some with us but I'm having a hard time remembering any.

 

@EntryLevelDave FOH with "may or may not" have been down lol. Like 3 camera angles showed that he didn't get touched.

 

Idk...it seemed inconclusive.
