This happened with Goff and he struggled too but he’s also capable of orchestrating a high volume game when he’s asked to pass 50 times and Dak hasn’t shown that

 

Dak has a winning record without Zeke.

He also has a winning record without 1 or more of the main pieces of our line.

 

Yeah I think if you take the best player on any team away bad things will happen.

Wentz plays great when the Eagles can’t run the ball. So does Deshaun Watson. Those guys can carry a team with their passing, not just take advantage of a defense keying the run

 

Cowboys @ Giants a couple months ago:

27/44 for 387 yards and 4 touchdowns without Zeke playing and backups at more positions than not. That's just one game. I could go on.

 

I think my personal bias is more around the draft stock and less around it being a Cowboys QB

Goff and Wentz went #1 and #2 while Dak went in the 4th

Makes it easier to make excuses for Wentz’ injuries or Goff’s supporting cast/coach, but then take a “prove it” attitude for Dak’s similar limitations because only 2 of them are “supposed” to be good

And that's what I hate about draft position. I don't care if you're drafted 1st overall or are an undrafted free agent like Romo: whatever you do on the field is all that matters.

Goff has also had a 31/49 419 4 TD 0 INT. And several other 400+ yard / 70+% games. It’s not a one off thing.

 

I genuinely wish I could see Stafford on a good team to see what he could do

 

Yeah it sucks that he had to spend the start of his career on such a bad team and then go to the Lions

Versus 8 games above 70%. He had more down games, that’s a fair point. But to argue he’s not accurate isn’t true and is reductive of the context.
