It's the food

 

we are seriously considering just getting 1-2 food trucks

 

No regrets about the justice of the peace wedding, solved so many problems (although I understand not everyone can/wants to do that of course and am not saying everyone has to do that)

 

My dad did this for his last wedding and it went wonderfully, everyone loved it

 

I’m a supporter of either no ceremony or an extremely low-key one, and then just a large reception or party later

 

I wish we could have done that but we got our venue super cheap because we booked it so far in advance but then we had to use for one their pre-approved catering companies so it didn't really save us any money at all lol. We did do brunch though so that saved us a little over dinner

 

JoP all the damn way. Then maybe a reception party at your house or a relative's house so you don't have to worry about cleaning up stuff.

We still spent way under the average cost of a wedding though

 

our house and any of our close families houses are too small to host anything so we're going to have to rent a place either way

 

Hmm I won't tell you what my wedding cost lol

 

My wife and I had a teeny ceremony with basically just our immediate family members and a few friends, and then a larger reception immediately after. We went with pizza and cupcakes.

 

yeah we're only going to be inviting around 100 so I would expect it to be around 80 or so actually attending

the other thing is that some of these barn venues charge you out the ass. There was one that wanted $8k just to use the place and they didn't even include tables and chairs nor did they have any bathrooms. Get the fuck out of here.

 

I think we invited about 125 but knew that at least 25 of them wouldn't be able to make it anyways, then I think we had 90 RSVP, but then only like 80 showed up, so that was super irritating paying for those peoples meals

 

Our venue was only $1500 for ceremony and reception w/ tables and chairs but yeah we didn't save money elsewhere really lol

 

we had about 190 come to our wedding

 

My wife's parents live in NH and her dad's disabled which makes traveling really difficult for him, and my family is massive on both sides which would equal a LOT of people traveling if we ended up getting married in NH so rather than make people miss out we were just like "fine no ceremony" and just went and got married without anyone haha

Didn't really matter. He wasn't going to be starting. I'm sure someone picks him up on waivers and dumps him before final rosters.

 

Talented depth is never a bad thing but when that talented depth is a turd, it’s best to just cut ties.
