I don't think they'll trade him unless someone goes over the top for him. He's locked down for the next three seasons on a cheaper deal and, whether he performs well or not, I don't see Hunt staying here more than a year.

But honestly if it's that vs rooting for the suffering of Cleveland to end and success for Baker Mayfield then I would lean towards the latter at least for 1 year

 

I really hope my team doesn’t draft any more abusers. Fingers crossed here that we let Dede Westbrook walk. We can do better at WR.

 

They’re both great* football players, who have the personality that is very fun to root against unless they’re on your team, and then it’s fun to root for them. Football is a lot better for having them, but watching Baker dunk on my team would be incredibly frustrating in a way that like Drew Brees passing for a million yards against you isn’t.

IMO I think the fact that they're on the Browns of all teams does temper those personalities in a bit (like, it's easier to think it's fun for a team that's been historically bad to have these good smug players and get to be tough guys or whatever vs like...if Baker and OBJ were on the Cowboys or Steelers together). But I definitely get what you're saying.

 

I'm sure in 5 years my feelings will change DRASTICALLY

 

It took probably like 3 games in 2017 for me after like a decade of futility before the Jags defense stopped being a cute little story and started being irritating because they were so good and had so much swagger about being so good. Once the games start, track record doesn’t matter to me haha
