The one diehard Colts fan I met was while getting into an elevator talking to a friend about football and I said "and of course I hate the Colts" and a guy in the corner of the elevator turns to me and says "I'm a Colts fan" and I responded with "Well I hate you" hahaha.

We ended up good friends despite having a million differences. His favorite things were the Colts, the San Antonio Spurs, and the band Transit, and I hate all those things and somehow we made it work.

 

A guy walked into my job with a Titans shirt and I said good morning to all his friends and the looked at him and said "terrible shirt."

 

This is why Matt and I vibe. I’d rather argue with someone who really pays attention than try to appease a conversation with someone who just says wildly incorrect things about football constantly

Matt is the only truly discerning Jags fan I know haha

Idk why I just have no reservations about being kinda mean to Titans fans. Im nice to everyone else hahaha

 

I’ve only ever met one Colts fan irl and I only live two hours from Indy.

Having two teams in state is probably the reason but it’s pretty wild

 

There was a kid in high school who always wore a Titans jersey and he was one of those bros who loved to punch people in the arm hard but “just playin”. I think he did it to me more because I was a Jags fan, even though I’d tried to have respectful convos with him despite hating the Titans.

He was being aggressively haughty at lunch once and punched my arm hard on the wrong day... and I clocked him in the face and said “fuck you and the Titans” and walked away hahaha. Was really fuckin tired of him hitting me without my consent and I’d told him to stop multiple times before so I got real with him. As a kid who was bullied a lot in elementary and junior high, I toughened up and didn’t take shit from anyone in high school.

I’m surprised he didn’t actually punch back and try to fight me, one of those “loves to bark but won’t bite” types. He never bothered me again. Didn’t get in trouble, I hit his cheek so it wasn’t bloody or anything, wasn’t trying to seriously hurt him, just wanted to send a message.

Since then though it’s just been a bad taste in my mouth

 

The Titans first jerseys were so fire tho

 

Anyone else have stories like that? Hahaha. I know it’s kind of irrelevant but that boldened my Titans hate and that stuck with me

 

Do people typically ask for your consent prior to punching you?

Well he tried to act like we were buddies but it got stressful telling him to stop punching me in the arm. He was like, passive aggressive picking on me and at first I went with it cause that’s what teenage boys do, try to prove they’re tough. But damn man every day at lunch I would dread him coming to my table and messing with me in a way I don’t like my friends to mess with me. So eventually I just got pissed and showed him we aren’t fuckin friends lol

 

One time a random guy in the grocery store saw my Steelers shirt and called me a band wagoner, while wearing a 49ers hat. It caught me so off guard I didn’t know what to say

 

I've never been in a fight or have been seriously punched

 

My first week as a freshman in a new high school and still only being like 5'4" at most, I imagined the worst kind of bullying. The only thing I ever got was a senior asking if I was a freshman and then kicking me pretty hard in the shin once I said I was. I elbowed him as hard as I could and then immediately turned and walked away. I thought I was going to get a punch in the back of the head but it never happened, thank god.

 

For 9th and 10th grade yes. But this story was in 11th grade when I moved to Maryland
