I think that would be the best way to go. If I was a QB-needy team and the price was fair, I'd rather trade for Rosen than take anyone this year. With his rookie year and two years to see him on your own team, it's justifiable to move on from him in 2020 if he isn't performing well enough. Your options are: 1) getting a franchise QB at a low value or 2) if he sucks, you're setting yourself up to make a run at someone who could be an Andrew Luck-level QB prospect.

 

So either no rookie (very fucking dumb) or trade Shady (also very fucking dumb because you could have done it last year)

 

This is gonna end up being the key. If you can hold out long enough to force the Cards to take a 3rd and maybe some future conditional pick, its definitely a win. But for someone like the Giants giving up pick 37...

 

Mcshay had the Giants getting Josh Allen recently, imagine giving up Allen for josh

 

I don't like Rosen but if the price was only a 3rd, you can't really be mad at that

I don't really think 37 is that bad for Rosen. You get him for 4 years, just like any other 2nd rounder in 2019. He's younger than Grier/Lock and only a few months older than Kyler/Haskins. He's better positioned in New York with a better O-line and offensive weapons. Beyond that, it gives them a little more flexibility in the first round to not have to target a QB.

 

I'd do that in a heartbeat if I'm the Giants. Then you can use your pics for good players and not maybe not bad players who fit a need.

 

The sideline thing is still the stupidest and pettiest shit. Coughlin would ruin this team if not for Caldwell
