More than anything I would say its bias against the NFC east. Easily the most overhyped and overrated division in football.

 

Flacco played well in his defenses SB run. Is he getting in too?

 

I agree with that too. It CAN be competitive and CAN be fun...but so can every division and they don't pull the same primetime slots as the NFC East.

 

Yeah I wouldnt put Eli in the HoF conversation at all haha

 

Just watching some of the best Eli highlights

 

Eli has 148 more TDs than Flacco and has been better than him many years. I don’t think Flacco is that good of a comparison

Idk if being healthy is a hall of fame quality. Like, thats really it. Eli didnt miss games so he was able to sustain his mediocrity throughout his 30s.

 

He’s played in only 65 more games. Is Flacco getting 148 touchdowns in 65 games?

Yes Eli was in the league longer, it's hard as shit to start in the league for a long time. Yes Eli had a good defense, it's very hard to win a Super Bowl without a good defense. If we wanna make the Hall Of Fame a regular season only award that's fine you do you but playoff performances matter, and frankly so do moments in history. I'm not saying EVERY moment in football history should matter but Eli knocking off the undefeated Patriots was a massive heavily watched moment very similar to Namath knocking off the Colts...and Namath got in the hall off that.

Is Dirk Nowitzki not a Hall of Famer because he had lackluster offense in the finals against LeBron/Wade/Bosh and had to be carried by Carlisle's zone defense?

Like oh my god Russel Wilson's defense absolutely dominated the Broncos so he didn't have to do anything for them to win but oh wait he did still have 2 TD's and a 72% completion percentage on 25 attempts NOT A HOFer!!

 

Wild comparison considering Rodgers up until this year was an indisputable top five player

 

There are players/coaches with worse careers than Eli in the hof, so he's getting in. Jerry jones is in the fucking hof lol don't be mad at manning because the hof doesn't have a very high threshold for what constitutes as hall of fame worthy.

In todays league averaging 2.3 TDs/game isn't crazy.

if playoff statements matter I would say Rivers playing in an AFC Championship game in freezing temps after getting his knee scoped and keeping it a game is a pretty big fucking statement.

And yes I know Rivers' liability with INTs at the end of games but Favre threw plenty of INTs as well/

Manning actually has a worse interception rate than Rivers. Only Winston, Fitz, Henne, and McCown are worse among active players.
