My girlfriend freelances on the side and it pulls more than her job. I think it's just about having a stable roster of clients more than it is a bunch of different ones.

 

Yeah I was genuinely curious. I know lots of people do it on the side, so I wasn’t sure if people who do it are actually keen on it

 

Fun fact: I was doing merch design for The Front Bottoms while she was doing some album artwork for them and we never met even though we went to their pop up show for it. Three years later we met on Tinder, meanwhile our names are literally printed on the same objects. P cool, v romantic.

 

Fridge magnets are definitely underrated. My 90’s apartment fridge would look terribly depressing without magnets. Gotta lean in and brighten it up. Maybe for really nice fridges they aren’t necessary

 

I should grift people on instagram I get messages all the time like "how did you grow your dogs page??" when in reality it's mostly dumb luck lol

 

I don't think it's the kind of thing someone can START off doing, you have to build your client base, and slowly kinda just keep up. I'd be way too nervous without a steady paycheck.

My wife and I used to work literally 50 feet from each other in the mall and our paths never crossed until after I left said mall

 

I work in the SEO field and you can make a ton freelancing , I plan to do it when I'm a bit more skilled.
