This is by far the biggest reason I’ll have a bad night, is tables sitting there not ordering anything for 2 hours when I could’ve got more tables

 

Actually, he apparently lives in illinois so probably Ohio state or something

 

I’ve never had people sit that long but there have been times when people sat like at extra 30 mins or so and then didn’t even leave 20% on their check. It was the worst.

 

I agree, I also have been told to leave for staying like 15-20 minutes longer when a place was completely empty and that's shitty. I just assumed the owners were maga or something.

If no one is waiting to be seated and the restaurant isn’t closing, then I no problem with people hanging out for a bit before leaving.

Yea, it was definitely an outlier but it's happened occassionally before. I think they got uncomfortable because we were talking about dem candidates in 2018 or something, it was weird. The only reason it stuck out is because it was with someone I hadn't seen in forever so we were catching up and it was cold af out. On top of that, we all had a big dinner for their bday so it's not like the tip wasn't going to be top tier.

That was early on in my “serious” NFL fandom and there were moments where we had the game in hand and we just blew it. I can’t hate the other team who takes advantage of that, I guess.

I struggled in Italy where you cant even get a check til like 45 minutes after they take your food...its like you called their wife a whore if you ask for a check right away
