This is fair. Idk. I’d still sign Fournette if he stayed healthy in 2020 and logged two injury-free years in a row.

He has great blocking, solid catching, top notch athleticism, sometimes (even if not consistent) big play ability, and the ability to still get 2-3 yards when the blocking is awful. I feel like you need all 5 to be worth resigning and Fournette does all 5.

My only bugaboo about him is he seems to be too conservative these days, like he gets a little lazy or timid about juking people out sometimes even though he has shown he is elusive when he wants to be... (perhaps he is avoiding sharp cuts because of his past hamstring injury woes?) He’d pull off more big plays if he ran more like he did his rookie year, but it’s possible the coaches specifically asked him to run more downhill and keep it simple so he can stay fresh.

Hah lemme know what you think. I LOVE this album. I still feel like an 18-year-old kid in my dorm room when I hear it.

It's so bad IMO and I have great memories of that era of TGA but the album itself I could not get into at all

 

It's honestly probably my least favorite of their albums but that's not really saying much. Still a big fan of it but i have to be in the right mood.

 

Never got into TGA. They've got a couple albums I always thought were solid, but the band just never really grabbed me

I think I liked only four or five songs from Handwritten

 

They aren’t bigger.

Faster, yeah. But NFL defensive players were big as fuck in the 70s and 80s and a lot more dirty hits were legal. Even in the 2000s officiating was still catching up to the dangers of the game.

 

It was also much more common back then to give backs 28-33 carries in a game. I think it’s hard to argue 18-22 carries against mostly finesse teams in sub packages these days is more damaging to a RB physically over time.

But maybe just the SPEED of the game makes fluke ACL tears and one-time serious contact injuries like that more of a risk.

 

Meant bigger in terms of stronger. I was being redundant but it sounded better in three lol

 

honestly I had this mindset for a while but after watching mattison/Boone perform particularly well when cook was injured the last two games, they would be a solid duo for the Vikings if they don’t extend cook. But I think they will move pieces on the defensive side/cut bait (Rhodes, griffin?) to free up the cap.

 

I'da Called You Woody Joe so damn good.

 

I looked at the #s and I'm not sure they can clear up the space even with cutting bait with Rhodes and Griffin. I think they'd have to push some money further down the road with restructures to pull it off since they have to pay their picks too.

I also just don't know how much we're talking about when we refer to extending Cook haha so yeah I agree with you that if the price is absurd you can likely run with those guys and get a 3rd but I think you can do it the other way too, just depends

I know it's pretty common for me to like bad albums so it's rare I don't like this one

Handwritten might be my favorite one, I was jamming it with my friend recently and we were talking about seeing them on that tour
