Funny, I assumed it was because they traded away all their talent and would desperately need to hit on the 50% average of draft picks to actual reform a roster that is competitive in the division.

Trading up for Tua is objectively a bad choice...but, as we saw with the Mahomes quotes, if you think he's THE GUY, sure, you do it.

 

Well its true that trading Tunsil and Minkah was never part of the plan

But we're here now. And they have the ammo

 

They have the ammo but that doesn't mean you should use it. I'd take a Herbert redshirt behind Rivers and my other 1st than trading a 1st to move up two spots for a QB that might not even be better than the guy that falls to five.

 

If we don't have Rodgers we lose by even more

Need to give him more weapons on the offense and fix the holes in the D

plus I'd rather have Fitz than Rivers nowadays anyways

 

Its going to be fun when the Packers don't have a top 15 QB of all-time and see how their fans react

Clearly the solution is to trade 5th overall for Aaron Rodgers and let the Packers take Justin Herbert. That way everyone wins.

 

I still agree if we get a chance to draft another high caliber QB we should. But it should be like we did with Rodgers, with the plan being he takes over in 3-5 years. Still can wait a year it two to make the pick as well

 

Yup that’s exactly the right path - sign and draft some better skill players and I think Rodgers has a great 2020

The packers are not good at qbs, they completely lucked into Rodgers.

They traded a 2nd round pick, they had to know he was good. Over a decade passed when they got Rodgers, they didn't have Andy Reid john gruden mariucci mora and whoever else was on that staff to evaluate qbs like they did with favre.

 

Now there will be a 10 page diatribe between Randall and carpetelf about how the jaguars should have gone after shanny and didn't.

 

Dolphins shouldn't have won games so they could take burrow.
