Finished the Aaron Hernandez doc and there was a lot about the cases I did not know. Never realized they vacated his conviction (what a dumb law).

The sexuality stuff they touch on in the first episode is way out of left field and they don't tie it back in until the middle to end of the third episode.

I feel like the doc tries to get you to sympathize with him a bit which is a little off putting. I appreciate the context his life gives what happened but I do not sympathize with him at all.

 

This is pretty much it and it applies to so many situations. There are so many times you can look at what a bad person went through and understand what happened to them psychologically and also still hold them accountable for being shitty in the end

People act like you either have to have empathy and blame others, or ignore life circumstances, and it's never as simple as either answer

 

The concept of that law makes sense to me. If you have appeals left, you technically still have a chance of proving your innocence. So if you die, you never got to exhaust that right and you are not guilty without a shadow of a doubt. It's kinda stupid but i guess kinda ok?

 

He was found guilty though. Because he can appeal it doesn't mean he wasn't found guilty.

Just causes heartbreak for the family of the victim.

 

I guess but I also don't think anyone believes Hernandez is not guilty, like in the eyes of the law he "technically" isn't "guilty" but everyone knows he's guilty so idk if it really matters

It's the Nixon impeachment, he wasn't impeached but everyone knows he was

 

Yeah, if it had any force and effect i'd be more opposed to it but it doesn't really change anything. I think maybe his kid might get some cash from the Pats because of it but not sure where that stands.

 

Im sure espn would just buy it out. He’s meet and auditioned with ESPN for the MNF spot the last couple years.

He like slapped a cop on the butt who was there to arrest a bunch of kids for smoking victory cigars so while it was stupid he's hardly the person I find stupid in the situation

 

apparently there's video of the incident and it's OBJ "lightly spanking" a cop as he walks past...?

Remember when that youth pastor was caught on camera slapping that female reporter's ass and so many people tried giving him a pass because he said he was "caught up in the moment?"

Can't wait to see how the media and its consumers digest this situation now that it's a cop and Odell.
