I didn't say he'd replace Luke. Sometimes you replace losing talent in one role by adding talent in another. I think Simmons is a top 3 defense player in the draft.

 

He’s not a franchise QB to draft and build around. Backup at best.

 

People saying that Simmons, who is labeled as the top LB, is a lock to Carolina now because Kuechly retired is a head-scratcher.

If a top tackle is there or Derrick Brown, they have to go that route or they are making a mistake...unless CAR is converting to a 3-4.

All better fits for Carolina. Obviously they have no shot at Young, but Simmons (who I obviously love) is not the best fit for them and he is far from ready.

 

Do you think Brady being younger than Cam will be a factor? I’m just worried about having a fairly inexperienced HC AND a 30 year old wiz kid. I feel like it could be hard to sell their message to the locker room.

And like I’ve said before the vocabulary they’ve been using is setting us up for a rebuild. I’m starting to think Cam is gone. But I don’t know.

Meh i'd go Titans because they changed QB's halfway through the season and weren't even close to playoff consideration. The '07 Giants were 6-2 before their bye in week 9 and floundered in the second half

 

If the Pats were 15-1 i'd go Titans. But denying a perfect season as a heeeeeeeeeeavy underdog, and holding literally the best passing attack ever in Brady to Moss to nothing was damn impressive.

 

Just not sure who’d be interested in moving pieces for Cam other than maybe the Chargers?

Even though they publicly backed Trubisky, I think the Bears would be interested.

 

Bears would be so dumb not to at least consider it. Cam would also be a palatable replacement for TB12 if Tom goes to L.A. At least it's "welp, Tom wanted out so while we develop Stidham we've got a Super Bowl-caliber QB at least." Would go down better than Andy Dalton.

 

Also to the Titans credit they went through the Patriots (granted not the Pats of old), Ravens, would be going through the Chiefs, and one of either the 49ers or Packers.

If it's the Packers they could be going through Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Aaron Rodgers. That's a fucking gauntlet.

I'd still probably pick the 07 Giants but there's a BIG argument there for Tennessee.

 

The Bears will probably sign some garbage QB like Mariota to compete with Mitch
