He pissed away an amazing situation for himself. Staying in the Steelers’ good favor would’ve been Brown’s best possible career move. They were poised to have him chase Jerry Rice records with how much volume he got in that offense.

I see it as “you reap what you sow”. A player with a true competitive spirit would accept the challenge and bet on themselves to make a dysfunctional team more competitive. He just showed me he cares too much about his ego to even build a legacy as one of the greatest WRs ever.

Brown talked a lot of shit to suddenly be too good to play for another team. At this point yeah Steelers should just hold him hostage and enjoy the cap savings when he doesn’t show up.
