I sort of get it when its a deer; there's a large enough hunting community and showing like an 8-point buck is not different from showing off a big fish you caught. If people didnt hunt deer in suburban and exurban areas, all our cars would be fucked.

But the big game hunters posing next to elephants and lions strikes me as super weird. Both because the "hunt" is wildly different, and cause half the time its some rare animal that they have to know is gonna cause backlash

Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of the way Ballard has built the Colts, and am impressed with Brissett so far this year, but this is just an untrue narrative. Andrew Luck started the season slow and still ended as a legitimate MVP candidate.

I think the point you’re getting at though is that you need a good QB and a good supporting cast to be a legitimate contender and I agree with that. I just also think the order doesn’t really matter, and the opportunities to build the supporting cast come more easily than the opportunities to get the QB, so you take that shot if you’ve got it and you believe in the dude

 

I will say that Wentz’s obsession with hunting creeps me out. Pretty sure Cox’s twitter photo is still him with a dead animal too.

Hunting in general is weird to me and makes me feel a tad uneasy.
