I've actually been a fan of the Broncos drafts lately

 

Sam Darnold (in agreement to wear a mic): “I’m seeing ghosts.”

Jets fans/organization: “Fuck you ESPN. That is a shitty thing to do. Why the fuck did you let this happen?! This is an outrage!”

 

That was a good pick but Elway does not a very good track record of getting good players on this team through the draft.

 

Honestly though how dare ESPN wait this long to have anything of substance in mic'd up segments

 

Panthers were trying to get Sanders.

Curious if they have another target or just gonna sit back.

 

I don't wanna go back to listening to linebackers be like "let's go let's go!" and grunt for 10 seconds

 

The 18 and 19 draft looks promising. Pretty much everyone before those. Yeesh...

I don’t understand the Quandre Diggs trade

 

pretty sure i read recently that no draft picks from 2014-2019 and maybe earlier (besides Von Miller) have even made a Pro-Bowl. which, yeah it's the pro-bowl. but at the same time with the number of people that decline and then get selected, you would have thought one position would have made it somewhere.

 

In fairness Phillip Lindsay got selected for a Pro Bowl as an UDFA rookie for Denver

But still yeah

which is why i would never ever be in favor of hiring a great player (note: i'm not calling Elway great, but obviously he's revered in Denver) for the franchise they played for in a non-player role because chances are they will suck and in some small way that would diminish their legacy and it would be awkward af for the owner / GM to fire and then they'd get hated because no matter how bad the former player would be in their job, most fans would still want them around. it's just unnecessary pressure for almost their entire tenure with very minimal positive upside when they first get hired and it's a feel good story.

unluckily for the Broncos they have no owner and everyone in the Bowlen family is fighting among themselves so Elway is free to do whatever he wants forever!

 

Welp, I was gonna make the joke that the lions weren't gonna win another game for the rest of the season and I guess that's what bob Quinn literally wants. Meh. Sorry lions folk.
