The answer IS obvious - it fits your narrative haha. There is a zero percent chance this happens.

As an argument for why you need Ramsey

    The rivalry is back on

Nah, the “why” for trading for Foles is that the opt-out in 2021 is real pretty for a team bridging the gap for another QB. You can hold him if he succeeds or you can drop him if he’s meh. A team who is in position to actually get the type of QB who you’d bridge the gap to wait on is not the one who’s gonna want Foles as a crappy consolation prize

Randall...there's literally nothing more valuable than a good young QB on his Rookie deal. It's literally why the Rams made the Super Bowl, the Eagles won the Super Bowl...etc...

Anyone who would give that up for the privilege of paying Nick Foles $24 million dollars should be lead out onto the field and have tomatoes thrown at him.

“Mid level picks” dude those are three first round picks lol. 3 first rounders are definitely worth an early 1st

and to compensate for the QB, I’m giving a team that has zero cap space issue, a solid, cheap QB who can compete right now... plus the picks to build their team to a position where they can properly develop young talent with stability in the future.

  9. A good young QB on a rookie deal is valuable only if the team around them is solid. Put a good young QB on the Bengals and he might be dead by the third game.

Comparing 12+17+a future 15 to the #2 overall pick with a QB you like sitting there and pretending their equal is INSANE.

Conley is younger and has multiple years left on his contract, I think they wanted someone long term

Harris would be a nice get though, but will it take a 2nd? Plus?

Same exact thing was said about Goff and Wentz. That Rams team especially was HORRENDOUS and far worse than the Bengals.

The Rams and the Eagles were much more complete teams who traded way up to get Wentz and Goff. Usually when a team in as poor shape as Cincy drafts a QB they simply bust, because you can’t learn in an environment where they can’t provide you any protection, and can’t take pressure off of you to throw 40-50 times a game.

17 and future 15 is also incredibly optimistic

But when teams like Cincy stockpile talent and THEN draft a QB all of a sudden the new QB has the tools to thrive

...you get to put a solid team around them because they're making $7 million instead of $24 million.

Put a good young QB on the Bengals, use your 2nd and 3rd round pick on the offensive line, spend a smidge in free agency and now you've got a QB with AJ Green, John Ross, Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon. That's not bad for a rookie year. And then you continue to build while he's cheap.

....so how about we do that instead since the team you like is the Jaguars haha

    It was not lol

We’ve already done that. Even without Ramsey this is not a team that needs to blow it up. We could put Burrow in there and he’d have a pocket and would only have to throw 30-35 times most games.

  20. This whole exercise is stupid.

I mean, it was. They had no offensive line and no receivers. Gurley was that offense. The Bengals have solid offensive players, they just need a better line.

Dear Cincy fans, I know you just survived the Andy Dalton years. So how about instead of getting excited about a new hotshot QB in the draft, you get yourselves ramped up for the Nick Foles years!

So why not use three picks and become an elite team then

And then they signed s bunch of free agents and suddenly had a line and receivers lol. How is this not an outlier rather than a legit example
