DeMarcus Lawrence seems like a chump.

 

He hates the media and also says some pretty crazy stuff about players and coaches, haha

It’s easy to like him when he’s on your team but I could see not liking him if he’s not.

 

DJax is out again and I honestly would not at all be shocked if he doesn’t return until after the bye

 

This is exactly why I wasn't thrilled with bringing him back.

 

I didn’t mind it since we only traded away a sixth round pick the get him back, but he’s had such an extensive injury history and is going into his mid 30s so I’m not sure why didn’t insure themselves better, which is what brings us back around to the JJAW pick. According to Jimmy Kempski, the Eagles we’re trying to prioritize speed at WR in the draft. Apparently they didn’t like their options and tried to trade back, but they didn’t find any suitors so they just ended up taking JJAW.

This might come across as me being anti-JJAW, but I have nothing against the player. I heard good things about him coming out of college and I didn’t even hate the pick. It just didn’t move the needle for me. I just think the execution of this year’s draft for the Eagles was poor. Now we have Doug coming out and saying he doesn’t see JJAW having a role unless Alshon gets hurt.

Behind Alshon and DJax, the team had Agholor on the trading block prior to the draft, Hollins returning from an injury that forced him to miss the 2018 season, and they only drafted JJAW who, despite the coaching staff having him play multiple roles at WR in practices, still can’t get on the field. Alshon and DJax have extensive injury histories and I think it’s fair to say that the team did not insure themselves efficiently.

 

They absolutely didn't prepare properly for this, Eskin said he thinks it's 95 percent that they make a move and wouldn't be surprised if it was for a WR.

 

It wouldn’t shock me either, as much as I’d rather see them trade for a defensive player instead. If it is a WR though, I hope it’s not Sanders after those allegations of him arose a year or so ago.

Right. Like, as badly as I wanted to keep Ramsey... knowing we’d reached a point of no return with him, I’m glad we took that offer. I didn’t want to trade him for less, but at the same time we were not going to get a better offer. That was the right time to pull the trigger.

 

We went to Buc-ees today and they had socks with DeAndre Hopkins on them so of course I bought them

Yeah, Fournette is rightfully salty. His bosses betrayed his best teammate and then his best teammate left him and the rest of the team hanging. Sucks to be in that locker room and watch it happen and be powerless. Every single person in the building wanted to keep Ramsey except Coughlin it seems.

 

At this point Marrone is finding any way to not directly call out TC for pissing off Ramsey but he’s basically saying in press conferences “look, why am I being asked about the Ramsey trade, I don’t have that answer. I wanted to keep him and was doing my best to give him space, & make sure he still had his spot on the team.” He comes THIS close to outright saying “why don’t yall ask Coughlin, he started all this.”
