I also do not agree with this, but I recognize Randall's need to work through his emotions.

I am excited for the Terrain concept album about this trade, however.

Here’s the best part -

Rams wouldn’t have pulled that trade if Ramsey’s back was an issue. This dude really would rather fake an injury to grift game checks than actually own his bullshit and go without pay if he’s gonna skip games. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and now honestly I’m just disgusted by his lack of integrity. Watch him suit up Sunday like nothing was wrong.

He handled this really poorly regardless. I was fine with the “pay me” antics but he started being disrespectful to our teammates and that’s where it’s not cool. Talk shit to the front office all you want but all the rest of the locker room has done is support you and give you space to handle your business. And make it clear they wanted you on the team.

Going out there liking posts of rival players clowning on your teammates is some petty ass bitch shit. Demanding a trade cause you didn’t get paid at the EARLIEST Possible opportunity, 2 years before you’re supposed to get extended, is some petty ass bitch shit. Claiming a back injury because doctors can’t prove otherwise just to fraudulently grift more money out of the Jags while skipping games, is some petty ass bitch shit.

 

Fuck Coughlin for disrespecting him but also fuck Ramsey for how low he stooped to get back at the team. A professional would’ve finished his original contract and then demanded that pay this offseason when it’s not a distraction. You don’t see Ngakoue whining that Bosa got paid first. All he’s done is be professional and let the offseason handle itself.

That’s what frustrates me that it was the fucking Rams who swooped in for Ramsey. Their biggest problem this season hasn’t been the secondary. It’s been the offensive line. Ramsey will absolutely help that team immediately, but I won’t be shocked at all if they miss the playoffs. To make matters worse for the Rams, they’re going to be taking huge cap hits from Goff, Donald, Gurley, Cooke, and eventually (you would think) Ramsey without valuable draft picks to draft high end offensive lineman to potentially fix the problem they face now.

 

His antics got worse recently. I was just starting to lose my patience when the trade was announced. He originally said his beef was only with the front office but he was being shitty to the rest of the team too.

I realize you can’t bend over backward for one selfish player because it’s a slap in the face to the other players who have the right attitude and who come in with humility.

 

Had we franchise tagged Ramsey in year 6, I would understand him pulling this power struggle, but to do this a whole year before your fifth year option even starts? I mean damn he didn’t even finish his ORIGINAL rookie deal. That shit is weak.

I get that some players do get into extension talks that early, but that doesn’t mean it should be an expectation, rookie contracts for first rounders are generally 5 years. Imo it was way too early to be that much of a dick about it.

And you can bring up that he didn’t want to play for the Jags, but losing that much morale after one losing season is also weak, I feel like a player who isn’t selfish wouldn’t give up on their team that easily.

 

It's not fair because I want to argue so many of these points but it's like kicking a man when he's down and that's not right.

I never said Ramsey shouldn’t get a huge deal. I’ve been saying I’d pay him $18M to $20M per season. What I am saying is the offseason business is the offseason business... and no player gets big money in year 4 anyway so it was really presumptuous of him to make these kind of mid season demands. Again, the more professional players let business handle itself when the season is over, and make their demands then when it’s not a distraction to the other players they work with.

Sometimes I need to learn to stop myself. I can't get into another all-day argument with Randall. I like ya Randall, and I'm sorry for your loss, but at least you've got Gardner now!

 

Rams and Jags don't play till 2021

I get Randall's point. I also think the Jags should've just picked Ramsey over Coughlin and paid the guy for being one of the best corners I've ever watched in my life. But I get being frustrated when Ramsey's frustration bleeds into being a problem for other players (although I did see like DJ Chark congratulating him over the trade). I was all for Tyrann Mathieu going to get more money with the Chiefs instead of staying in Houston but then he played dirty against our WRs and talked massive shit and I ain't having that.

 

Those Rams picks could end up being good. Their offense is a mess. Ramsey is a big pickup but it’s not pushing them as far as they think. I still think it’s very realistic they miss the playoffs altogether

 

Decided I’m not going to argue with a brick wall and instead get hype for Jalen Mills season now that the Jalen Ramsey dream is dead
