Game ball this week goes to every team that didn’t give up a sack yesterday

He would have 6 TDs and at least one in every game if the one against Denver didn’t get called back by holding

Chark is solidifying himself as an undisputed WR1

 

Guys, the falcons are 1-4, no one else finds that surprising?

 

could this get flexed? do they still do that?

 

Honestly the only thing I find surprising about it is that the Buccaneers are above them

I underrated the Buccaneers but didn't really expect the Falcons to be THAT good, 1-4 didn't seem impossible

 

They don't until late season I don't think

I support the Lions this year but I gotta say that Packers defense is looking better than ever and a recommitment to running the ball is only helping that.

 

Ehhh the packers defense is still pretty bad tbh

 

the only thing making me not confident in the lions next week is playing MNF

 

But yeah Aaron Jones is good so they need to keep feeding him the rock

 

I don’t. I was not sold on that defense or offensive line that a lot of people though were going to be much improved due to players returning from injuries (season-ending injuries for a couple of em) and a couple rookies, respectively

 

They look much better than they ever have but I'm not completely sold. I think their run game is partially excelling due to teams playing Rodgers more than they actually have to now and I think teams may start to adapt and play the Packers differently on defense. I don't just think that like LVE and Jaylon Smith are all of a sudden bad at playing the run.

We'll see though, I guess looking back it's not like the Lions can't be similarly exploited and beaten

 

It’s too bad LaFleur is so insistent on a RBBC. I think Jones should be getting two-thirds or three-fourths of the snaps every game. Dude is electric

 

I mean the defense looks slightly better, but that isn’t saying much. I still think we will have to put up around 28 a game if we want to win. We allowed 24 points in one half yesterday.

yeah I’m afraid it’s gonna be close to 50/50 again whenever Williams gets back. Jones has proven the last few weeks he can catch passes out of the backfield as well.

Williams, to me, strikes me as the kind of guy they should be utilizing in short-yardage situations or at times when utilizing heavy personnel. Otherwise, I think he should just spell Jones.

 

Man. I really wish the Jags defense didn’t play like trash yesterday.

Minshew went 374 yards, 2 TD / 0 INT, completed over 65% yet again. It was his fifth straight game with 200+ yards and a QB rating over 95.0 - he is the first rookie ever to be that efficient in his 5 first games.

He absolutely played well enough to win. If we don’t give up that last long TD run to Bonnafon after CMC went out.... we are talking about Minshew leading us to a GW field goal. Instead we needed a TD, and started a drive from inside our own 5 with less than 1:15 left. Minshew still got us all the way to the opposing red zone and just couldn’t finish the drive against tightly-packed prevent defense with 10 seconds left.

 

Dan Quinn might be even worse about squandering exciting talent with vanilla coaching than BOB is

 

Yeah this is how he should be used in the gameplan, he’s a decent pass catcher and blocker but he really doesn’t do anything else that well. Short yardage, goal line and whenever Jones needs a breather is when he should be on the field.

 

Bummer. Knew this was coming but hate to see it
