    Signal Vs. Noise Prestigious

I’m a very staunch anti-cowboys person. 2 of those interceptions were off the hands of his receivers and one of them came off interference that wasn’t called. Dak did everything he could today and looked very good.

I think the second one was completely on him but it’s whatever. He’ll continue to not get the same treatment other QB’s get when it comes to putting their play in context. He gets judged harsher and has to prove much more than others do, just the way it is.

Like, we’re 3-2 leading our division with our two losses by a combined 12 points to the #2 and #3 seeds in the NFC while we were missing 2-3 very important players. I’m not ready to write off the rest of the season yet.

I find it hilarious Eagles fans are chirping after this game while they’re behind us in the division, have had the easier schedule so far, and have lost to a bottom five team in the league. Sure, y’all beat the Packers and that’s impressive but I’d argue losing to the Falcons and Wentz having his worst game for sure against them is more embarrassing than the opposite for beating the Packers.

Yeah. by not signing his franchise tag he was rendered ineligible for the 2018 season. That was his second franchise tag, as he had signed and played under his first. The only reason he was able to walk after that is because, if the Steelers tagged him a third time they would've been paying QB money to a RB.

But if they really wanted to eat that money, they could've tagged him again and prevented him from hitting the market, and then Bell would have the choice of either playing for the Steelers or walking away from $20M instead of the $12M the previous year.

I feel confident if we can't repair Ramsey's dissent we will still trade him before he ever walks. We're not blind, we know he wants to go to Houston or Tennessee and if we have any iota of intelligence as an organization we will use our leverage to see to it, that that worst-case outcome doesn't happen.

There's no reason to rush this situation when we can't afford him yet and he can't go to another team yet.

The fifth year option is still an enormous pay raise that nearly triples his salary and makes him the 3rd highest paid corner for a year... it's fully guaranteed as well... we're not even at that Bell / franchise tag point yet. Ramsey's fifth year option might actually be HIGHER than a CB franchise tag costs.

That's what makes me so disappointed about this whole thing, it's not like he's getting slighted, this is written into the fifth year of every first-round rookie contract when they sign it.... he knew this was gonna happen ahead of time and it's not even a bad deal. It ensures he DOES get top-CB money while we work his even higher long term deal onto the books. I can't understand the player-mentality that that's not "good enough". It's like a company has a 5 year plan to promote you to CFO first, THEN have you take over as CEO... but then in year 4 you turn down the CFO job and demand the CEO give you his job early or you quit. Like wtf?

The Bell thing was fucked up because tagging him TWICE is a level of disregard for his personal wishes / job security that most teams don't stoop to. But the fifth year option is a standard for first round picks around the league. It's not like Ramsey's being singled out the same way Bell was, this is regularly how teams buy time to afford their most expensive young stars.

I feel like it's naive for a first-round pick to expect year 4 to be your contract year, that's just not usually how it works. Obviously teams are gonna take that fifth year option all day, effectively the majority of first round rookie contracts are 5 years long. You can either be grateful for the payraise (usually STILL leads to being signed to a big long-term contract a year later)... or you can make things difficult on everybody including yourself, and skip out on pay just to prove a point while the team holds you hostage. I'm frustrated that our front office disrespected him to the point where it's not even about money, and he is choosing to do this the hard way out of spite. Money-wise, the fifth year option is not disrespectful at all.

We must be watching two different sports if you think the Eagles have had an easier schedule so far than the Cowboys. And let me remind you that the Cowboys lost to *checks notes* Teddy Bridgewater after whipping *checks notes again* Eli Manning, Case Keenum, and Josh Rosen.

    Keep trying though.

Y’all have played the Falcons (1-4 and the one win is against you), Redskins (0-5 and you barely beat them), Jets (0-4 and the only team you’ve beaten convincingly), Lions (who are a mediocre 2-1-1 but still beat you), and then the Packers.

So yes, you’ve only played one good team so far and yes, you beat them but you’ve also lost (badly) to a bottom five team and to another mediocre at best team.

I’m not saying we’re world beaters compared to y’all but the lack of logic falls in line with the Dak/Wentz debates. You’re laughing at the Cowboys for losing to two top five teams yet you have worse losses on your own schedule. Look in the mirror.

I’m not having this discussion with someone who is insistent on removing context and just looking at records.

    Enjoy your day.

Everyone should go back and look at what Swearinger said when he got cut for being honest about how the team was being coached. Know there’s bigger problems with Bruce and Dan, but Jay was a terrible motivator/leader/etc. Good riddance.

Sucks I had to work last night, sounds like I missed a great Colts/Chiefs game. Was Mahomes’ injury serious?
