It’s just peculiar he’s hanging out in Houston. Shouldn’t he at least be resting back in Jacksonville?

Refusing the franchise tag isn’t a thing lol. If he refuses to play under it we still hold all the cards in terms of trading him and not letting him walk.

#1 there’s still his fifth year option
#2 if he still wants to walk AFTER that, we ain’t about to let him go voluntarily to HOU or TEN. We will franchise him to keep his rights just so we can choose who we trade him to. The Jags would not let him walk to another divisional team.

They’ll take a lowball deal for him from an NFC team a year and a half from now if they have to. But like I said they have all the leverage in this situation.

Everyone knows it’s a fake injury. He’s trying to illustrate that our defense needs him by watching us give up points with him out. Which, we already know that lol. Above all else Ramsey is doing this cause of money.

He’ll get a huge contract offer. I think Marrone covering for him and giving him space is the best thing the team can do right now, to not damage the relationship further, and to give us the best chance of getting him to sign it.

And at the same time once he’s cleared from injury by a specialist, he won’t earn checks if he continues to miss games. So that only hurts him.

this is the plan, and I honestly believe it has merit if jalen doesn’t sign long term wherever before then

deshaun, him and nuk all legitimately are friends obviously

There have to be better things for people to do than to paint Ramsey in a negative light and guess what he may or may not be doing behind closed doors. Dude has a back problem and just had a child, but people still seem so willing to do these mental gymnastics just to bag on one of the best in the game today.

I feel like there is a possibility his back injury is the kind of thing he would normally play through, but why press your health for a team that’s pissing you off?

Jags are doing the right thing by leaving him alone cause it would be a bad look and disrespectful to do anything else. Respect the fact that he needed a break from a stressful situation with all the media attention on him, regardless if the back injury is serious or not.

Even if he is cleared, ultimately he’s a grown man and he does have the choice to skip out on future game checks if he really feels that strongly about this. I just don’t see that going well for him considering Le’Veon Bell did that and just ended up getting the same contract on a much less competitive team, while losing a whole year of guaranteed pay.

It definitely was not a good look to be hanging out with someone in another city right after your team just lost.

but since he is there to see a back specialist, it makes more sense.

not a huge deal either way, like most of the shit that gets discussed in this thread

Jalen sees his baby in Nashville and a back specialist in Houston.

Cant wait to see who he meets in Indy next week.

What does this guy mean there’s no such thing as refusing the franchise tag? You don’t have to sign it, you aren’t going to get arrested if you refuse to play on the franchise tag...

I find it absolutely hilarious that people lost their shit over Dak and the Cowboys after their 3-0 start despite the fact that they went against three of the worst teams in the league and should all pick inside the top ten of the draft, two of which probably top three.

This was mentioned multiple times through the broadcast. The last two weeks show who the real Cowboys are.

The player doesn’t have a choice in being franchise tagged under the current rules. If we franchise tag him we still own his rights and can deal him to a team that gives us draft capital and isn’t in our division. It’s not a thing we need Ramsey to sign / agree to. Neither was the fifth year option.

My point is that blocks him from walking in free agency and choosing the Texans as his next team.

His family has always lived in Nashville even during his college years at FSU, and Houston has more high end medical specialists and hospitals than any other city in the south. It makes sense in context people just be reaching.

My cousins have been to Houston and they loved it there so that’s probably why Ramsey is there currently tbh

Just like when he takes his children to the worlds largest kids museum in Indy.

Seems that we’re destined for a 9-7ish season after these last two weeks. Should stomp the bad teams and then maybe split against good teams at best. Sucks. Maybe we’ll have another ‘come to jesus’ mid season change like we did last year and things get better.

Still love Dak. Most the issues in the game tonight weren’t his fault.
