DEP is the most intricate and impressive metal band to me, on album and live. There might be one or two other metal bands I “like” more for sentimental reasons or whatever, but they’re the best metal band, imo

 

Just give me Metallica.

 

"Intricate and impressive" is a good way for how I'd describe them, I just don't like what they're making as much as everyone else does haha

 

I'm kind of astounded that Metallica has never been asked to play the halftime show.

 

It’s definitely super abrasive and niche, even in metal fandom, but if I want/need to just FUCKING ROCK or whatever I put them shits on and it 0-100 real damn quick, hahaha

Metallica are legend and super talented and important to the genre but they were never my thing really. I think it’s because I didn’t grow up listening to them in my formative music years.
