Just what we need, congressmen and police giving themselves CTE

 

Not to bring the Dak vs Wentz thing up or anything again because it is annoying, but I do really feel people give Wentz unfair criticism. The city of Philadelphia, the media and yes some people in here have. I don't know, it's not his fault he gets hurt or nor should he get criticized for things out of his control. I know this rant is probably because of the shitty past 2 weeks but still.

 

I just feel like a lot of the criticism is like "this area needs to get better" which it does. There are things that are out of his control but that's mostly how football is, some players have more luck than others. But what I HAVEN'T heard is anyone who thinks the Eagles actually need to move on from Wentz, pretty much everyone acknowledges that he is a good quarterback for the Eagles and is important to their success, which is why they put so much pressure on Wentz to change certain mistakes he makes and count on him to elevate the players around him in the way they need to be elevated, similarly to how he did in that MVP-esque season. I think that's fair as long as they don't cross the threshold of saying everything is Wentz's fault and that he needs to go, which is not fair.

I'm on board with this, but people really do want him gone.

 

I'd have let him walk. Trade Wentz to Tennessee for like 3 1sts and change or something.

I do think it has a lot to do with Foles though.

 

Yeah, the Eagles would be nuts to let’s Wentz go. There’s not even a realistically possible trade scenario where I’d say they should pull the trigger.

Once you have a young franchise QB, you HAVE to lock them up. Pure and simple.

 

If someone offers a huge package of picks, depending on my team situation, I absolutely take that. Like, if the Jags had Wentz? Yeah 100 percent move on and use that money on Yannick, Jack, and Ramsey

I wouldn't, only because I don't value draft picks like most people do and I'd rather hold on to the sure thing.

If it meant losing Yannick, Jack, and Ramsey though? If we can get several 1sts and some other picks for Wentz? I'm fine with that.

Yeah I've heard from/seen/spoken to people who truly believe that Wentz is not the guy and they should have kept Foles. It's fucking crazy. I get the love for Foles, and I love him too, but a lot of Eagles fans seem to forget he looked like ass in 2017 against the Raiders, in the playoffs against the Falcons, and then again in the season opener against the Falcons. Those two games against the Vikings and the Patriots to win the super bowl were nothing short of stellar, but you can't just take the highs without the lows and a surprising amount of people in the Philly area seem to think you can.

 

Where can I see CB grades/rankings so far? I'd like to see where Bradberry ranks right now. He's been pretty impressive so far this season. The secondary as a whole has been a lot better.
