Aikman was overrated, don't care what anyone says. Mahomes will end up having a better career.

 

The whole rings thing is so dumb, so many great QBs had shit teams around them.

 

Mahomes is more talented than Aikman but he won’t have a better career unless he gets three or more rings and a Super Bowl MVP.

Completely disagree just because you can’t give Aikman all the credit. He was solid and he executed but like those were team wins. In no way did he carry the best offensive line, RB, and a top 10 to top 5 defense in the league.

If Mahomes wins a Super Bowl meanwhile, we can definitely say HE did it. Especially when you consider Andy Reid has had several great / contender rosters and has never gotten it done.

 

If I were the Jags I wouldn't do that, like I said before I think the Jags would be better off keeping him because whatever team trades for him is probably going to be be picking low in the 1st.

 

Yeah but that means nothing as far as total career goes.

 

Like, when the Packers won it? That was a Rodgers Super Bowl.

When Peyton Manning won it, he had the best defense and receivers in the league so I don’t see that the same way. Even Manning’s first Super Bowl was accompanied byarguably the Colts’ best pass rush performance of all time (Freeney, Mathis, and Bob Sanders / Antoine Bethea made them the #3 defense overall that year)

 

I never said Aikman deserves all the credit. Regardless, winning a ring is hard as hell, no matter how talented you are. Then winning 3 in4 years is near unprecedented. Only three quarterbacks have more rings than Aikman does in NFL history and he was an enormous part of those playoff runs.

And yeah, Mahomes could do it. But then again, two of the most talented quarterbacks ever, Manning and Marino, have less rings combined than Aikman.

Clearly they’re more talented but overall success leans toward Aikman.

 

I mean it’s closer to his value but I don’t want two mid/low firsts. If I’m trading Ramsey one of those picks better be top 5 so we at least stand a CHANCE at another generational talent

Do not want 2 B grade players and a slow to develop TE for Ramsey, no fucking thanks
