Was trolling a friend and settled on this argument:

If the Patriots get punished for trying too hard to win (Deflategate/Spygate) then the Dolphins should be punished for not trying hard enough to win. Dock them draft picks.

(Again, was trolling, but I had a good laugh at the concept)

 

with my luck, this will be the year the NFL institutes a draft lottery and we'll pick 19th.

The optimist in me sees the injuries to Big Ben and Foles as a big deal for the Bills, occurring to two teams that should have been in the wild card picture as the season began.

The seasoned Bills fan in me knows to just shut up because when December comes and that Playoff Picture graphic starts popping up, the Bills will be right where they always are - IN THE HUNT

 

something I randomly thought of this morning:

Belichik refused to play Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl for reasons we still don't know, but has no issues playing AB while being accused of rape and sexual assault.

obviously talent-wise they are not the same type of player, but wtf did Butler do to get benched in the biggest game of the year but Bill has no problem playing fucking AB in week 2 against the Dolphins?

AB on its own doesn't make any sense, but when you look at other decisions Bill has made it makes it even more puzzling / frustrating that he'd allow AB to play / stay on the team.

 

Sorry if this was already posted, but as if being a rapist wasn’t bad enough, Antonio Brown also seems like just a shit human being to everyone he works with in any capacity.

I don’t remember the details of the Butler stuff but maybe it was tactical. I don’t know. He does a lot of weird things with his roster. Like randomly playing Burkhead and him getting 2 TDs. Or that standup comedian they signed and he scored like 4 TDs several years back. Who knows

Even with how sketchy the Pats operate, it wouldn’t surprise me if Brown’s days are numbered there (he should have already been released, or at least benched at this point). They don’t need him and the evidence keeps piling up.

 

Honestly we’ve united under Minshew lol. We are both just fucking bummed out our 6th round rookie came back with two scoring drives in the 4th and we goddamn wasted it.

I mean we held Deshaun Watson to 13 points without AJ Bouye, Yannick Ngakoue, or Telvin Smith. That’s huge. The only touchdown they scored was when they got the ball on our 11 yard line after a fumble.

Minshew completed 70% and only had one turnover that was not his fault - one sack / FF that happened instantly because we also had our backup left tackle playing his first NFL game.

What the fuck else do you expect from a team that’s missing 5 really important players on their roster? (Foles is the 5th) At that point Marrone just mismanaged the game.

1) we hardly ran the ball, never established a rhythm

2) we didn’t challenge an obvious incomplete pass on 3rd and 4 which is what Ramsey blew up about cause he was insistent Hopkins didn’t catch the pass - that led to a field goal

3) you spend the whole fucking game passing and trusting Minshew and now on the game winning 2 PT conversion you don’t???

4) even aside from that, if you’re gonna be conservative just kick the PAT and play for overtime! Why the fuck would you make an aggressive decision but then call a conservative call? The fuck are you acting so confused about? If you’re gonna be aggressive don’t fucking tiptoe into it that just makes being aggressive a bad choice.

5) Ramsey, who shut down Hopkins this time, dropped a clear pick 6 at the Texans’ own 17 yard line so that kinda sucks too. Was an excellent pass breakup, can’t be mad at the play, but if he caught that we win the game.

If I can trade in rumors and speculation, I think MB was a problem in the locker room for a while. He admitted not having a deal impacted him throughout the year, and it was noticeable on the field. If you go back and watch, every time he gets burned before the play is even over he's looking around who he can blame. It was annoying. Then there were rumors of the week of the game, staying out late partying, and then potentially a physical conflict with his positional coach, who happened to be Steve Belichick.

Like I said, all rumors and whispers. Not saying this as like "he was right about Butler and AB!" shit. Just adding context.
