Nah we definitely tanked in 2012 once we saw Gabbert was a far cry from being competitive

 

You literally said if Cam is toasted theyll pick 8th anyways. Shutting him down is keeping him.

A team will absolutely trade for Cam. A team wanted Brissett for a 1st/2nd and Bradford was traded for a couple of times.

 

I will say as bad as I felt about the Bucs and Panthers after last night's game, it was a Thursday game in WK2, so I'm not spelling doom quite yet.


Cam is a legit worry however

 

@CarpetElf I think you are underestimating just how difficult it is to shape a NFL roster lol. The Panthers have many good/great players on both sides of the ball to warrant a total blowup.

Not even the best teams have some stud at every position like you're making it seem, you've got your 5-6 good players on each side rounded out by average players propped up by the better ones

They weren’t playing well for a lot of those games, though. Offense looked bad against Dallas and they should have lost to the Giants and Philly.

dude Cam cannot complete a 20 yard pass anymore, he’s lying to himself. Brissett definitely carries more value... Bradford... well a QB’s legs don’t matter as much as their arm / shoulder hahaha

I don’t see how he has any trade value especially if he still wants to play and resists the idea that it’s time for him to be a backup / mentor

 

I love that everyone is talking about something different but Randall and Matt are still arguing about leftover lasagna

 

I'm not saying its easy at all. The Panthers have good players at every level but without great coaching they arent gonna put it together and when you change coaches and schemes and QBs, your team inevitably changes drastically
These players that are good now may not be as good under a new regime and when we're talking about guys like Taylor Moton or Eric Reid? Like yeah, if you can get a good pick for them, why not?

 

I dont see how Bradford had any value and he went for a 1st.

Why do you think the Panthers can for sure get a good pick for those players?

Idk veteran presence is a thing and can help even if the vet isn't playing like a top player or if they're riding the bench and I think that can be more valuable than Huckleberry McPearson from Alabama A&T.

Not a massive haul but we traded both Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton and it took us years to get out of being one of the most sacked teams

Monroe went on to be good for the Ravens for a few more years, meanwhile we wasted that pick

 

To be fair, I did say IF they can. Obviously not saying just get rid of them just cause.

 

Thank god, now we only have to get murdered by 9 defensive starters
