I don't know if they're going to make the playoffs, but the Suns have come to play again today.

Phoenix is running a full court press, and I love it.

 

Girls HS basketball runs a full court press pretty much nonstop and it's always exciting.

My middle school boys team does, too, modeled after VCU's "havoc press" under Shaka Smart from a few years back. Add that to the fact that our gym is about the size of my living room, and other teams have no idea what the hell to do against us.

I assistant coached girls Jr high basketball one year while I was working at the school and no joke, there was no room for bleachers. The line of chairs was almost pressed against the sideline as it was. It was chaotic basketball because it felt like everyone was in a box and very claustrophobic.

 

welp the Grizzlies will be in the play-in game - sorry Suns

 

Now we gotta root against the red hot Blazers.

 

Haha, that's our gym, too. On the side with the teams, chairs go right to the sideline and on the other, the sideline is a few inches from the wall. No bleachers for us, either. Claustrophobic is definitely the word.

 

Blazers will torch the Grizzlies in that one game.

 

Blazers lose to the Nets,

Suns win the playoff spot after the play-in

Suns get swept by the Lakers.

 

The Suns are kicking absolute ass and it might not even matter. The Grizzlies really don't deserve to make it to the playoffs either.
