Purely anecdotally I have been wondering why more people haven't been picking Luka for MIP. It seems like a no brainer to me

 

i think it’s because we always hear the whole “a second year player SHOULD improve” but in his case and Trae’s - they became legitimate stars

 

Really don't think a top 5 draft pick in their second season should be eligible for MIP. Especially one who averaged star numbers as a rookie. Kinda counter to the spirit of the award imo
