idk i really dont think this is as disastrous a plan as any other. sure, positive tests could ruin the whole thing but that could happen anywhere? yes florida is COVID-19's home base but if the players are transported safely and securely to the campus, only interacting with other players and personnel who have tested negative, i'm not really seeing the disaster others are i guess? moving 50 people from one hotel to another, surely, is not a huge problem considering disney moves thousands of people a day around hotels, and, is that not already what NBA players do under normal circumstances on the road? move from hotel to hotel?

I'm with you. Lot of doom & gloom surrounding the return. I think it could work.

In theory, it can definitely work if everyone shows up negative/isolate those that test positive. My biggest issue is, again, letting non NBA employees leave the campus

Got a hypothetical NBA question here, which NBA team is the furthest away from a championship right now, and which NBA team that sucks now is set up for the best future?

  11. Detroit (unfortunately) is probably the furthest away from another title. They have to commit to a full rebuild.

Thunder (they don’t suck by any means) are probably best suited for the future because they have picks out the fucking ass.

  12. Detroit is definitely one of the few teams that super far away from competing for a title just cuz they don't really have a young star to build around. The Knicks too - they don't have any good young players either. I also feel like the Spurs are very far away too just cuz their best two players are Derozan and LMA and they don't have any good young guys (but knowing Pop they'll probably be fine).

at least teams like the Suns (Booker and Ayton), Kings (Fox), Hawks (Trae), Cavs (Sexton), Wolves (KAT), etc have a young star.

For teams that actually suck, NO is probably the best suited for the future, followed by ATL and SAC

Do they suck though? I think some answer of Detroit / Washington / Knicks are furthest away, while a team that sucks that will be good is probably Suns / ATL / Sac.

the magic are the furthest away by a good margin imo. they won’t ever be bad enough to get a good pick, and will never be enticing enough to get talent to make them compete/worth it for stars to come.

“sucks” is relative but just based on standings id say atlanta and new orleans due to their talent and presuming they all improve

  17. oh yeah good call - Orlando is a shit show too and same with the Bulls

Yeah the Magic are a pretty odd team. I do really like Isaac, hopefully he doesn’t become plagued by injuries

Magic! Okay, cool. Go Magic. Big Magic fan now.

  23. oh yeah they have young talent for sure but they have a shit for brains coach and terrible management. Lavine is a dazzling player but has so many holes in his game and he's better suited being the the #3 guy on a winning team. Lauri regressed so much this season (which you can obviously attribute to the terrible coach) and I dunno what Wendell Carter Jr. is going to be.

but they absolutely have a better roster than the Pistons and Magic.

  24. the Bulls coach is like having Jason Kidd but like the dumbest version of Jason Kidd

I love Lavine a LOT but I always said he's actually best suited as a 6th man.
