you can “blame” them for keeping for the longest the worst of their big 3. it’s also the guy who was abundantly obviously the easiest to keep lol. they didn’t have money for harden, who went from a (great) out of shape glorified sixth man to a top 5 NBA player. that is an unpredictable jump. people shit on the trade bc of hindsight but there are 29 other teams that would have traded harden. durant is a clearly very weird dude who had aspirations outside of what oklahoma could offer him. so, if the other two were gonna leave regardless, why are people shitting on them for keeping a hall of famer who wanted to play for them lol

“less with more” they were literally a game away from unseating the warriors. only two teams have accomplished that much.

Yeah that's the part so many people don't understand when judging the trade. His jump is the exception, not the rule. Literally no one thought he would turn out to be what he is today.

  6. Getting mad at Presti for trading Harden at the moment of time is the same as getting mad at the 14 teams that passed on Giannis

Or every single team (including the Nuggets!) passing on Jokic

I fell down the rabbit hole looking at OKC draft picks over the last few years and I am now obsessed with the following "What If?" scenario:

Arguably the worst pick Presti has made was in the 2015 NBA Draft when he drafted Cam Payne 14th overall. The pick at #13 for that draft? Devin Booker. Ah, what could have been.

I would love for someone of Presti's caliber on the Sixers lol

Find me a team with the talent they have that has been put together more poorly

i don’t think you’re out of touch, you’re just wrong on this one lol

i also take the word of people tapped into the nba. the dude is, pretty regularly, spoken very highly about by very highly connected people. he’s a top 5 gm.

if i’m president of an expansion team and trying to hire a GM, he’s probably the 4th name i call. kind of insane to think otherwise.

just like the NBA needs a few games to shake off the rust, drew needs a few games to dust off the takes

I’m really only confident on the Bucks. But I guess when it’s been months it’s hard to feel confident about anything.
