There’s too much silence, I’m surprised they didn’t have anyone call the games like they do for e-sports. It’s just two guys playing, saying a few random thoughts and then crickets again.

Yeah just mute the in-game commentary and get like Kevin Harlan or Doris Burke to call it in real time from their houses lol

To be honest that article was sort of damning of Rudy, considering the benefit of the doubt a lot of people have tried to afford him. Between the alleged meetings about it from the team, Snyder’s connection to Seattle, visiting with his French relatives, and his teammates urging him to get a test or whatever... I can understand a vantage point where Mitchell is justified in being upset.

I hate the behind the basket view in 2K, I'd probably watch more if they used the broadcast angle

mitchell was in the epicenter of the pandemic with his family literally days before they tested positive. the assumption that rudy gave it to don is bonkers... i hope they can work it out but i feel like donny is being a big time prima donna on this one.

as a jazz fan im frustrated with both of them, the bad news just keeps piling on man

I think Mitchell has a right to being pissed lol.

If I had to guess.... Rudy gets traded during the off season if their relationship is as unsalvageable as its being reported.

everyone has the right to be pissed at Gobert for being a herb, but it does seem like he felt genuinely bad for it

moving a dude on the brink of a super max 250 million dollar contract sounds not likely.

Someone would def trade for him. Probably not what jazz fans would want or expect it to be

yeah, jazz will let him walk and no one will pay him the max

or the knicks will. the only two outcomes.

    I hate it.

But the reality is that even after we pass the initial peak of infection, the virus is still active. We have already lost more than 16,000 Americans to this disease. Bringing back sports soon would give people a reason to stay inside, a reason to feel hopeful. It would probably also cost more lives.

“If people just decide to let it burn in most areas and we do lose a couple million people it’d probably be over by the fall,” says Binney. “You’d have football. You’d also have two million dead people. And let’s talk about that number. We’re really bad at dealing with big numbers. That is a Super Bowl blown up by terrorists, killing every single person in the building, 24 times in six months. It’s 9/11 every day for 18 months. What freedoms have we given up, what wars have we fought, what blood have we shed, what money have we spent in the interest of stopping one more 9/11? This is 9/11 every day for 18 months.”

The peanuts and Cracker Jack will be waiting for us when sports are ready to come back. Only the virus will determine when that is.

a baseball-centric article but still applies to the NBA and its future.

  18. there's not gonna be 2020-21 sports either. maybe 2021-22 if we're lucky
