This makes sense. The Warriors are extremely lucky that KD went to a place that just so happened to have an all-star PG on the way out. If KD went to any other team, Warriors wouldn't have had the luxury of getting anything of value back.

They'll now be able to get some nice pieces in return if they do (and should) try to trade D-Lo.

Just like they were lucky when the salary cap went up significantly the year that KD became a free agent? Hahaha this kinda thing always seems to happen to them!

Yeah this makes a lot more sense, dlo basically a replacement for klay and if he has a good year he’ll be a great trade value for other role players or a big star that fits better.

Definitely missed out but still think they could get enough useful pieces out there to be great. If Kawhi goes to Clips Danny Green could go to Lakers. Could get Morris too. Iggy, Melo, shooters still out there

What about the Raptors? They go from champions to a roster with major holes.

They got their championship. If Kawhi opts to leave, they can muddle through this year and then be primed for a dismantling / rebuilding the following year when literally every player but OG and Norm Powell comes off their books.

It is why the Kawhi trade made so much sense. If it worked, you got one great year with the option to run it back. If it didn't, you could just blow it up.

totally forgot Thomas is a Free Agent. will be interesting where he ends up. still a lot of good players out there though. Morris twins going to Lakers would be interesting if KAwhi doesnt go there.

After probably the greatest Free Agency ever, I cant help but be pessimistic and think of how if Kawhi goes to Lakers it will erase all the magic and Ill be bummed again lol I want to root for LeBron but I dont think Ill even care if Kawhi joins him and AD.

Still a lot of quality guys out there. Since Kawhi is taking his time, he kinda screwed over 2 of the teams that didn't choose him, but that's the risk you have to take.

  15. There will be other moves to be made and disgruntled stars happen every year.

The problem is they don't have anything left to trade. They can basically only use their cap space or just keep trading picks a decade from now :crylaugh::crylaugh:

I don’t put it past pelinka to send away some 2029, 2030 firsts. He probably knows he won’t be around then anyway.

They won’t tie up future money with that $32 million if Kawhi stays in Toronto. They will use the $32 on one-year deals and wait for the next disgruntled star to demand a trade
